Meng Wang promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure

Prof. Meng Wang has been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in the ECSE department starting July 1 2019.   Meng joined RPI in December 2012 as an Assistant Professor, after receiving her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and working as a postdoctoral researcher at Duke University.  Meng’s research is in the area of compressed sensing and sparse recovery, particularly in detecting anomalies in large complex networks such as power grid.  Her work has been recognized by the Army Research Office Young Investigator Program (YIP) Award and the Rensselaer School of Engineering Faculty Research Excellence Award.  She has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Army Research Office (ARO), New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute, Energy Power Research Institute (EPRI), NSF/DoE Engineering Research Center for Ultra-Wide- Area Resilient Energy Transmission Networks (CURENT), Center for Future Energy Systems (CFES), and RPI-IBM Artificial Intelligence Research Collaboration (AIRC).
