In October 28-30, 2024, an RPI-HVCC Semiconductor Scholar, Andrew Lee, participated in the 2024 Microelectronics Commons Annual Meeting and NSTC Symposium held in Washington, D.C. With aspirations to become an industrial/supply chain engineer, Andrew Lee learned how his interests intersect with the semiconductor industry through the RPI-Hudson Valley Community College Semiconductor Scholars Program. This event brought together leaders from academia, industry, and government to discuss advancements under the CHIPS and Science Act, focusing on innovation, collaboration, and workforce development in microelectronics. Andrew, representing the future semiconductor talent from NORDTECH Hub, presented a poster and delivered an inspiring speech that emphasized the critical role of opportunities in unlocking individual potential, drawing from his own experiences. His personal transformation highlighted the importance of empowering emerging talent to address the challenges of the evolving microelectronics industry.
