ECSE is seeking a Senior Student Services Administrator for the Graduate Program. This position works with the Graduate Program Director to manage all phases of the graduate student recruitment/admission process and the graduate student financial aid process for new and continuing students.

ECSE has about 100 doctoral students and 50 master’s students. Senior Student Service Administrator for Graduate Program serves the key role as the ECSE graduate program assistant (GPA), supporting all aspects of the ECSE graduate program. This GPA manages the graduate student admission process (typically around 300-500 Ph.D. applicants and 100-150 M.S. applicants), from answering all inquiries and directing them to proper sources to coordinating the financial aid decision and facilitating other paperwork such as export control, visa, etc. The GPA serves as the main graduate student resource from the initial point of contact through exit interviews at degree completion. The GPA handles the financial aid paperwork for all graduate students. For teaching assistants, and works with ECSE faculty to estimate the needs of their advisees. When the TA allocation is below the needs, this person coordinates with the Office of Graduate Education (OGE) and other departments on campus to find other TA supports. The GPA also manages all the logistics of our doctoral qualifying examination (once a semester). The GPA works closely with the ECSE graduate student council to address their needs and concerns, ensure their voice is heard, and help with their events. The GPA manages all graduate student recruiting events and involves the graduate student council for help.
